2,160 meetings with 180 investors: It’s Web Summit Office Hours

Last week at Web Summit, at any given time there were up to 30 startup and investor meetings taking place.

That was thanks to Office Hours – a series of pre-scheduled meetings between Web Summit startups and attending investors.

This was our largest Office Hours yet: 180 investors from over 100 leading funds combining for 2,160 meetings.

For an idea of the kind of investors who took part in Office Hours this year, here are some of the names who got involved:

Sarah Tavel – Partner – Greylock


While at Bessemer Venture Partners, Sarah was an early investor in Pinterest.

She later became Pinterest’s Project Manager for Search and Discovery before joining Greylock Partners this June.

She specialises in working with early-stage entrepreneurs building products, platforms, networks, and marketplaces that enable new forms of communication, media, and commerce.

Chetan Puttagunta – Partner – NEA


Chetan focuses on SaaS applications and infrastructure software at NEA.

He’s invested in MuleSoft, MongoDB, Elastic, Acquia, Swiftype, Forter, Placester, ScoutRFP, and Canopy.

Chetan has been named in Forbes Magazine’s ’30 under 30′ in venture capital.

Scott Nolan – Partner – Founders Fund


Scott Nolan focuses on investments in technology-driven companies in the energy, biotechnology, aerospace, healthcare and advanced manufacturing sectors.

Prior to working at Founders Fund, Scott was early employee at SpaceX where he helped develop the propulsion systems used on the Falcon 1, Falcon 9 and Dragon vehicles.

He’s also spent time at Bain & Company working with the firm’s private equity clients.
