We’ve already announced that Champions League and Tour de France winners will join the most influential skater of all time at Sport Summit in Dublin.

Here are three more Sport Summit speakers: cult hero Big Sam Allardyce, scorer of the quickest-ever FA Cup final goal Louis Saha, and the man leading one of sport’s most valuable franchises.

Sam Allardyce

Known affectionately as Big Sam, Sam Allardyce has spent 26 years in football management, including spells at Bolton Wanderers, West Ham United, Newcastle United and Blackburn Rovers.

Sam was one of the first British football managers to utilise tech in the sport. In 2001, his Bolton Wanderers side won promotion to the Premier League thanks in no small part to Sam’s pioneering use of sports analysis tool Prozone, long before the software was widely used.

As Sam himself put it: “I don’t think there is any coach more sophisticated than me any more, that’s not trying to criticise any other coaches. But there is only Arsene Wenger who has done it longer than me.”

Louis Saha

“Of all the centre-forwards we employed, when you talk about their talents – two-footed, good in the air, spring, speed, power – Saha would be one of the best. He posed a perpetual threat.”

Quite an endorsement from Sir Alex Ferguson, especially considering Louis played on Manchester United teams alongside Wayne Rooney, Ruud van Nistlerooy and Dimitar Berbatov.

Having retired in 2013 Louis is now co-founder of Axis Stars – a company that helps professional athletes manage their finances and counts Didier Drogba and Mo Farah as clients.

Jed York

Jed is CEO of the San Francisco 49ers, one of the world’s most valuable sports franchises and hosts of the upcoming Super Bowl 50 this February.

Jed began his career as a financial analyst at Guggenheim Partners before joining the 49ers as Director of Strategic Planning.

Having finished third in the NFC West in 2014 and narrowly missed out on the playoffs, the 49ers recently announced the signings of Reggie Bush and Darnell Dockett ahead of the 2015 season.
