Design Summit Brings Google & Etsy

Grab an early bird ticket to Web Summit

Just 3 weeks ago we launched the Design Summit and Data Summit. Today we’re sharing with you some more fantastic speakers confirmed for each.

We can’t wait to hear from Scott Belsky of Behance, Jeffrey Veen from True Ventures and Andrei Hereasimchuk of Freestyle Software. Joining them will be…

Randy Hunt – VP Design – Etsy

Randy is VP of Design at Etsy, where he leads the team of designers, researchers, writers and strategists building web products and creating brand experiences online and off. He started off with the company back in 2010 as one of two interaction designers. In 2014 they were honoured with the National Design Award. Randy has his own Etsy shop, of course.

Dan Harden – President, CEO & Principal Designer – Whipsaw

Dan is a passionate and consumate designer, with a keen eye, a unique perspective, and a strong drive to innovate. He has designed hundreds of highly successful products for clients like Cisco and Disney. Whipsaw has been recognized around the globe as a leading design firm. They’ve won over 160 design awards so far. Fast Company magazine named them a Top 5 most innovative firm.

Laura Granka – UX Manager – Google

Laura has a really interesting job. She leads a large team of user experience researchers and software engineers at Google, spanning across Search, Geo and Identity. She has really climbed the ladder there, since starting as a researcher on Search back in 2004. Another cool thing on her resume is that she designed and conducted Cornell University’s Human Computer Interaction Lab’s first eye-tracking research on websites. Looking forward to hearing more.
