“Stand up.”

“If you know exactly what your career will look like in 10 years, then please sit down.”

About 3% of the audience sat down.

Web Summit’s Careers Night drew thousands of students from a wide range of areas.

Three young entrepreneurs were the first to take to the stage. Their advice when it comes to starting your own business fresh out of college was –

“Just go for it. If we can do it, you can absolutely do it”.

We also heard from the likes of Philippe Botteri of Accel Partners and Anna Scally of KPMG. The highlight of the night was Ed Catmull, founder and President of Pixar chatting about Steve Jobs, Toy Story and how Pixar only accept perfection.

The night ended with 100 students on stage to ring the iconic NASDAQ bell.
