Ron Johnson Unveiling New Business – Enjoy

Ron Johnson took to Center Stage to unveil his new startup – a retail endeavour called “Enjoy“. This new business sells tech products, delivers them free to your home and will help you set them up and learn how to use them. This is set to be the next paradigm shift in shopping.


48 Hours, 89 Countries, 7500 Attendees

We had an astounding 7,500 attendees from 89 different countries around the globe come together. There were over 200 world-class speakers across 5 stages, 1000 startups and 451 of the world’s leading tech investors.




The 9ft Robot

You couldn’t have missed the 9 foot tall robot from Eyes Open walking through the venue, chatting with people and taking selfies.


Drones, Drones, Drones

We loved the drones panel on the Breakthrough Stage. Here we heard from leaders in the industry-Eva from Hexo +, Edgars from Airdog and Greg from Skyworks Aerial Systems. They focused on the future of drones, the development of software over hardware and the challenges of making them fully autonomous and safe. So what does the future look like? Integration into delivery, discovery, photography, filmography- the list goes on.



Investor <> Startup Meetings

600 investor <> startups meetings took place over two days during Office Hours. Unbelievable.



300 Amazing Volunteers

A massive thank you to our 300 volunteers who came from all over the world. Tibet, Russia, Hong Kong, you name it.



Banjo’s New Round of Funding Announced

Banjo founder Damien Patton announced on the Startup University Stage that the company have just raised $100 million. They started 4 years ago as a simple app for viewing social-media posts tagged to a location or popular event. They’re now aiming to build something much bigger – software that can detect earthquake-damaged buildings in Nepal, drive-thru patterns at McDonald’s and dozens of other events in real time, using photos uploaded to social media sites.


Irish Music

Collision played the sounds of some of the best of Ireland’s emerging Irish artists such as Le Galaxie, Sleep Thieves, Forrests, New Jackson and Kormac.

The $50billion Marijuana Industry

Privateer Holdings’ Brendan Kennedy discussed the future of this $50bn marijuana industry with Dominic Rushe. He talked about each US state experimenting with regulation in their own way, and how the right brands can fuel change. Privateer Holdings have raised a $75 million round to create new brands of cannabis products and to educate consumers on legal marijuana.
